Mumbai, India violinist duo Taraana—sisters Ragini and Nandini Shankar—have joined forces, fusing elements of North Indian Classical music with future-facing 21st century production and their own flare with their debut single, The Land Of Spice.

The song represents the inimitable alchemy at the core of their musical interplay. A Mridangam beat, natural vocal percussion, flamenco guitar, and handclaps set the pace with a rush of invigorating energy. Meanwhile, Ragini and Nandini engage in a kinetic violin back-and-forth, which culminates on a climactic instrumental conclusion. Shot in their hometown of Mumbai, the accompanying visual seamlessly translates this spirit to the screen, introducing their world.
