World Tourism Day 2023 | Mission Travel for LiFE  
 
Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji introduced Mission LiFE to the world at the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) in Glasgow.  
 
Mission LiFE: An India-led global mass movement to nudge individual and community action to protect and preserve the environment.  
Mission Lifestyle for Environment recognises that Indian culture and living traditions are inherently sustainable. The importance of conserving our precious natural resources and living in harmony with nature are emphasised in our ancient scriptures. The need of the hour is to tap into that ancient wisdom and spread the message to as many people as possible. Mission LiFE seeks to channel the efforts of individuals and communities into a global mass movement of positive behavioral change.  
 
The Tourists Can :  
1. Carry their own water bottles during travel.  
2. Carry their own cloth bag for shopping.  
3. Prefer locally available and seasonal food.  
4. Prefer to spend at least 5% on local products, souvenirs.  
 
The Tourism Business Can:  
1. Replace all single use plastic items with reusable alternatives.  
2. Develop organizational policy around social inclusivity.
