I’ve been obsessed with AMANZI’s voice for months. It’s uniqueness, power, vulnerability and character blew me away from the very first moment listening. So I contacted her and hopped on a plane to Brighton. We spent the whole day in the studio recording stuff and in the evening I returned to my hotel room exhausted ready for an early night. But then…. I listened back to some of the recordings. And this sentence was like magic! I made the basis of this tune that same evening and finished it a week after. I think it’s definitely an earworm but not in a cheesy way. Instrumentation is heavily inspired by disco, funk and soul music. Chords are highly emotional. It’s another case of melancholy meets happiness. And I think it turned out really great. All praise to AMANZI though for being an amazing person and having a wonderful and unique voice.
