Metropolitan and melodic, The Chase's music is a blend of cultural influences that pays tribute to their roots. In the space of a few short years, the five-piece have amassed a dedicated fanbase that has propelled them into the stratosphere of the UK indie music scene. From debut performances at some of the best UK festivals (The Great Escape, Isle of Wight, Y Not, Truck, Splendour, Lakefest, Tramlines and more), to sold out nationwide tours & landing main support slots with The Kaiser Chiefs, UB40, Reverend & The Makers and The Rifles to name just a few. The lads have been tipped as one of the biggest breakthrough bands on the scene and rightly so, with appearances on Talksport, Radio X, BBC, ITV and Sky Sports, there sure is no stoping The Chase.
At the ages of just 9,7 & 11, brothers Tyler (Lead vocals and Guitar) and Dion (Drums) joined by their cousin Luke (Bass) began The Chase as a three-piece, naming the band after the very streets they were raised in St. Ann's, Nottingham (The Robin Hood Chase). Later joined by their close friends James (Keyboard) and Will (Guitar), the evolution of the band has seen a revolution in The Chase producing a sound uniquely theirs. Influenced by everyone from Damien marley, The Specials, The Sex Pistols and Reverend and the Makers, the variety in taste has inspired the Nottingham lads in developing that 'Chase' sound.
