Croatia secured a total of 7 medals: 2 gold, 2 silver, and 3 bronze, finishing 30th in the overall medal standings. Barbara Matić became the first Croatian judoka (male or female!) to win Olympic gold, triumphing in the women’s 70 kg category. Valent Sinković gave himself a special birthday present on his 36th birthday by claiming gold together with his brother Martin Sinković in the men’s coxless pair, marking their third consecutive Olympic victory in this even
