The Locality Beautification and Enhancement Programme, implemented by the DC office in East Khasi Hills District and funded by Meghalaya Tourism, brilliantly revamps the district’s charm. Through vibrant murals showcasing local culture, enhanced green spaces, and support for artisans, it blends tradition with modernity.  
Through this programme, different neighbourhoods showcased their commitment to creating better public spaces. From diverse wall art to ingenious urban landscaping, the efforts put the spotlight on behavioural changes, sustainability, and cultural pride.  
This initiative doesn't just beautify; it invites visitors to immerse themselves in the essence of Meghalaya's heritage and natural beauty.
