Count Olaf (Jim Carrey) traps the Baudelaire orphans in a locked car and leaves it parked on train tracks as a speeding train approaches. Using their resourcefulness, the Baudelaires attempt to redirect the train at the last moment by creating a makeshift device with objects in the car in the hopes of avoiding disaster.

It includes a suspicious fire, delicious pasta, Jim Carrey, poorly behaved leeches, an incredibly deadly viper, Meryl Streep, and the voice of an impostor named Jude Law. I am bound to continue my research into the lives of the Baudelaire orphans, but you are free to seek lighter fare, like blue cheese fondue. With all due respect, Lemony Snicket.
