Norway Chess 2025 brings together some of the world’s strongest players for another exciting edition in Stavanger.  
 
Both tournaments, Norway Chess and Norway Chess Women, feature the same format, same prize money, take place in the same playing hall, and follow a 6-player double round-robin format. The Armageddon Format guarantees a decisive result in every match, making every round thrilling to watch. If a classical game ends in a draw, the players immediately face off in a high-stakes Armageddon game to determine the winner.

Black has draw odds  
 
Win in the classical game: 3 points  
Draw in the classical game and win in armageddon: 1.5 points  
Draw in the classical game and loss in the armageddon: 1 point  
Loss in the classical game: 0 points
